Backspacing with Wilwood Disc Brakes?

Okay. I have a problem. I havent been on this site in quite some time. I added Wilwood Disc brakes to my car almost 4 years ago and have the TT2's with 4.75 BS now. I had the rims before the brakes. Well now the car is going through a complete tear down and im changing the rims. I had cut and rolled the fenders to make the work. Well now im putting new fenders and wheels on it once its through and want it to be right not have to make it work. I am wanting to go down to a 16x7 but i was unsure of the BS. I was looking into the Vintage Wheels and notice they come in 3 3/4 for that size. Would that put the rims at the same place as the 17x8 with 4.75 bs? Does anyone know how much the brakes changed the track width and also what size wheel I need for the front for no rubbing issues. I was wanting to run a 225/50/16 on the fron if that helps. Thanks alot for your help.

Re: Backspacing with Wilwood Disc Brakes?

The kingofazle has 15" x 8" cragars with 4.75" bs and wilwood disks. No problem at all.

Re: Backspacing with Wilwood Disc Brakes?

I would not put a 16 on the front. The outer edge of the wheel will hit the upper ball joint on most 66's. The 17 is just over the ball joint and the 15 is just under. As far as back spacing the 4.75 should be perfect for a 215 -225 tire. A 235 may rub if the suspension is not stiff enough.
