1967 brake pedal assembly (Auto to T5)

I have a 1967 Mustang, 302 with a C4 automatic and I'm going to a T5 manual trans.

Does anyone know if the automatic cars use the same brake pedal assembly as the manual trans cars?

I need to know if I can simply change my pedals when I convert over. ie remove my auto brake pedal and add a clutch pedal and manual brake pedal to the existing pedal assembly.

OR, do I have to dig up a whole different pedal assembly?

I believe the 67 still uses a common assembly. There isn't much difference in the amount of work between removing the brake pedal and installing the two new pedals than there is in replacing the pedal assembly as a unit. Either way you go will result more from what parts you find more than whether you want to swap pedals or the assembly.

I did a t5 swap I used a standard clutch and break pedal from a 68 mustang I think this is probly the best way to go cause the auto break pedal is longer than the manual . I also went with a clutch cable kit from NPD and used a 89 5.0 bell housing made things pretty easy . I installed all of this in a 68 fastback will be the same for 67 fastback or coupe . have a 67 falcon that im install a 302 w/a t5 i nee dhelp the old trans was a 3 on the tree frank

As far as putting in a T5 it should be close to the same my neighbor had one they look real close to the mustang . You will have to get another steering colunm or just remove the shift lever from your I would find another it it was me . You will need to get a adaptor from NPD for your drive shaft since your yoke won't fit the T5 I believe the C4 yoke will but I am not sure I just happened to have one that fit mine don't remember where I got it. You can check with npd they carry alot of parts for this They also carry a cross over brace for the T5 trans don't know if its the same for a falcon you may have to make one . And you may have to shorten your drive shaft I did on mine . I have never done a falcon but they look the same as far as the drive train . NPD carry's a adaptor plate to match up the t5 to your orignal bell housing its the crossmember I don't know if the one for a mustang will fit your car . Hope this helps you

try posting your question in the Falcon forum too. You'll probably have better luck of finding someone whose done that over there since they're specifically working on Falcons over there. Good luck.

hijack, but related...does anyone have a link that tells how to do the entire swap, be it a 4 speed, T 56, or other manual trans, and maybe a parts list??? I think I'm getting rid of my race prepped C5, and going 4 speed...
