69 mustang clutch

Ive got a 69 mustang auto converting into a 5-speed and i was wonderin if a clutch pedal assembly from another year mustang or another car like a cougar or maverick would fit.

It would really help to know what engine you have and what 5spd you are wanting to install.

Ive got a 351w and im puttin a Tremec 3550 behind it.

I've heard that 68-70 are the same. Can't document it though. I do know 67 is different.

68 wont work, 69 & 70 r differnt in the brake pedal area. What brakes do you have? manual or power will make the differance. The pb set up sells on ebay consistantly for aprox 500 bucks
manual set ups are cheaper

Ive got manual but all ive seen is $200-$500 pedal assemblies. Im wonderin if I can use a modern setup.

You can buy the clutch pedal and brake pedal from NPD. Your automatic brake pedal will slide off the mount and you can slide the clutch and brake pedal right on. A cable clutch setup is fairly reasonable. Keisler and Fortes both sell the cable setup but you may find one cheaper. Actually I think NPD does too. It depends on your app. Small block conversions are more reasonable.

NPD's pedals will work on a 69/70 hanger?
I see that their Brake pedal is listed for 68-69 & then the clutch pedal is listed for 67-68.
Does this work?
Price is about 225 for both, cheaper than the 500 buck assmblies on e*ay

I thought of maybe trimming the brake pedal pad plate to allow a clutch pedal pad to fit and just sourcing a clutch pedal too.

I got an original set for my car long ago and had them laying around. Kenny Perogie, of Perogie Enterprises, told me all i had to do was take the clips loose and slide the auto brake pedal off and slide the brake and clutch combo right on. You can try him to confirm for the NPD stuff. I am would think it will fit, at least the brake pedal will fit. Be patient on ebay. You can get a decent original setup for 200-250 if you bide your time. Perogie Enterprises Home Page .
