302 Boss

I have a 302 Boss, cant find any stroker kits for it, i was wondering if a kit for a regular 302 would work or what i should do, or even where i should go to find some things

Thanks

Re: 302 Boss

If you have a real Boss 302 then you can sell it and get any stroker you want. The Boss 302 is too rare to stroke.

The 302 Boss timing cover may be the same as a 302W but thats about it!

Re: 302 Boss

Could always make an aftermarket clevor and save the original stuff. I always thought that the boss 302 was a beefed up 4 bolt windsor block with a forged crank and canted valve heads.

Technically he could bolt the heads to the new "boss 302" block from ford racing no?

Yes, but again, the engine is worth too much to modify in this fashion.

If one put a 331/347 kit into it and saved the old parts so that it could be restored at a later date would not be so bad.

Re: 302 Boss

Ummmm, a lot.... especially to a restorer looking for a date coded block.
Go to The BOSS 302 Registry and post the block numbers on thier website. Someone more than likely has that Boss on there and would pay a nice sum and VERY MUCH APPRECIATE to get thier original motor for thier car.
With the money you get for a complete BOSS motor... you could build a KILLER restomod stroker AND THEN SOME.
