I wouldnt waste my time with 2x4's, a single 4 will make make more power and be much simpler and less expensive.

You may even want to consider a Ford Racing Crate Motor.

First off you need to learn a little more about cars and Fords, 460's and 428's are two different engine families and 400-500hp in a 1967 mustang is more that enough to go plenty fast for someone at the skill level you seem to be at. You need to start off small and work your way up.

Also you don't need a transbrake to go fast in a street strip car, they hit the tires way to hard to be of any real use on the street. Plus you will need a whole lot of suspension / chassis work to use it properly and believe me its not in your current budget.

Well 400 hp will get you well into the 11's in a 3000# 67 mustang...... 600 will put you in the high 9' low 10's with the right set up.......

Welcome to the site 66svt. You should start a new thread if you have a new question. You are "Hijacking" this thread with a new topic. Not a huge deal on an old thread but not exactly proper Netiquette. Plus a new question will get more attention, ergo your question answered faster probably. BTW I answered your question on the other thread you hijacked! Cheers!
