Both are easy to verify. Put a fuel pressure gauge on here (check both pressure and volume-instructions should be included with gauge or in shop manual) and then verify fuel bowl level. You can do the latter while the carb is on the car, just remove top cover.

Yeah, I have been looking for a fuel pressure gauge but I honestly have no idea of where I can get my hands on one? Any local stores like Advanced Auto?

It is actually a combination vacuum/fuel pressure gauge. Ten bucks should get you one.

I went to Advanced Auto and the closest thing the closest thing they had to it was a "Fuel Pressure Test Guage" for a fuel injected motor... . Not sure of where to look.
