Any suggestions on reclining and

Any suggestions on reclining and comfortable racing seats for a 65 mustang? I am looking for a more modern look. And what about rails that will fit in the holes of these early stangs? I also understand that if I needed I could make new holes. Thank You.

head to the junk yard and look around. You can adapt pretty much any seat to the stock mustang track.

Re: Any suggestions on reclining and

I used to have a bookmarked site that showed SN95 Mustang seats swapped into a vintage Mustang, just drilled and bolted the original seat tracks to them.

If I find it I'll post it otherwise google is your friend!

Thumbs up Re: Any suggestions on reclining and

I'll post you some pic's firist next week on the Gm seats I picked up for $40.00 at a local monthly event. I used the original seat tracks with a short welded/on extention on 1 end and filed out the inner original mounting hole 1/4" wider and all fit fine. Picking up seat tomorrow from uph. shop and reinstalling for a Sat. event. The seats far inpast any comfort the mustang seats offered, plus they have a headrest and bolster sides. After trying them for afew miles, I was more than pleased with the new comfort they had for longer drives. Enclosed is another project I'm in the middle of under the hood of our '65 F/B.

I decided to take your advice so I picked up a couple of nice bucket seats from a 1980 BMW which only cost me 50 for both. I should state that these seats after being upholstered will be going in a 1964 Falcon sprint I am restoring. I posted on the Falcon pages and nobody responded so I decided to try here since I was told the 1965 mustang seats would fit the falcon. Here is a picture of the interior:

The passenger seat in the pic is the original along with of course the drivers seat. They are very uncomfotable and do not recline. The black and gray seat you see in the picture is going in m 71 comet gt I am restoring as well. We were just testing to see how it fits and feels. In any event my mechanic said he can make the BMW seats work plus they are very confortable and recline. They also have a fold up arm rest. Again thank you all for your help.
