Re: shifter stick for TKO 600
So it does not need to cut the tunnel at all. What about the bellhousing. Does it work with a stock bellhousing and stock Z bar system?

Re: shifter stick for TKO 600
You can use the stock bellhousing with an adapter plate, the stock tranny bolt pattern is different than the Tremec.

Re: shifter stick for TKO 600
That is not a true statement. TKO's are the same bolt pattern as a Toploader.
The only issue is input shaft length and spline count, you need to match the input length of the tranny you are pulling out, and swap to the proper clutch disk. Thats what many of the spacers/adapters are for
It even takes the same throughout bearing if you are replacing a small input transmission. If you are replacing a large input, you need the matching fork and throwout bearing.
The only possible exception are vehicles with very early toploaders with the small bolt pattern, but they may even bolt up, I just havent done one.
Actually, I also have never done a T5 to Tremec swap on a late model, I have no idea what they use for a pattern
However I have done 3 with blow shields that had toploaders in place, and one with a stock bell / toploader. In all cases its a bolt in, and if you use the same bell as you had before, Z-bar is untouched and doesnt even need to be disturbed other than to swap the clutch disk

Re: shifter stick for TKO 600
427 the input shaft is no longer a problem. For a extra $100 Modern Drivline will install a shortened input shaft so you can run a TKO directly off the Top Loader bellhousing.

Thanks. I should have a stick here soon. The driveshaft is here so I'm almost ready to go.

Give us some news dude
I know the basic idea of this topic was a shiftstick but I've some questions for a TKO conversion.
- Which trans support is the best? They're so many brands on the market that I'd like to know which one is the best deal, which one has the perfect fit according your experiences. BarronVonOttoma talked about a billet mount that drop the engine 1/2" but I didn't find it on Ron Morris website.
- When you're using a T5 transmission, will a TKO installation affect the driveshaft length?
- The speedometer cable is the same or must be changed?
Thanks.

Re: shifter stick for TKO 600
I just found out that my floor was cut and I am sorry for the misinformation.
Otherwise I used the mounts included with the kit. I have a lakewood scattershield. I drove the car home last night and it was good. I had no noticeable noise or vibration and fifth gear is great. I barely have to touch the pedal to cruise at 70-75mph. The speedo is not calibrated yet and I had no tach. The driven man(keisler) has cables and harnesses for stock speedometers. My Autometer uses one of the Tremec's two wires for a signal and the other is grounded. I am not an alignment expert but the engine appears to be approximately 1/4" higher in the rear. Everything seems to be working well and I have no complaints. I should have some pics to share later today. I hope this helps.

Re: shifter stick for TKO 600
I have a Hurst shift handle at home for a TKO 600. There's nothing wrong with it, I changed to a different handle. Here are some pics. I got the handle and T handle from Dark Horse.
