EFI Parts: Just bought, need ID

Just bought my first Mustang: 1966 Coupe, 289/2B, 3-speed. It's been parked in a warehouse in Carson City, NV since 1992. It runs, but poorly. I plan on rebuilding the 289 and adding EFI as well as a T-5.
I purchased what is supposed to be a 1988 EFI setup: upper/lower intake manifolds, injectors, computer and wiring harness(es) from a friend who purchased it off eBay. He never went through it and I bought it sight unseen for $160. I pulled it out today to see exactly what I had. I took pictures and posted them here: a d v e n t u r a
So, now I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is I purchased. I'm not quite sure what it came out of and I'm not too concerned about that as long as it works.
1. I'm pretty sure this is a MAF system, but am ignorant and need confirmation.
2. There are numbers cast into the intake manifold. Is there a site/book to decipher these?
3. Does this look somewhat complete? I've got three parts of one harness, the injector rails/injectors, computer, and manifolds. To someone with knowledge of all this: what am I missing? There are obvious things, like O2 sensors but someone with a more experienced eye can tell me more. What other parts should I gather?
4. Is there a very good book or website that details a parts list needed for this kind of conversion?
5. Where can I get a wiring diagram for the EFI harness? I'd like to inspect and repair anything prior to installation. I assume there is a factory wiring diagram, but is there anything else out there that specifically references an install like this? As in how to mate this with my current electrical system? (For reference, I have rewired this vehicle with a painless wiring model specific harness.)
6. Any suggestions for cleaning this mess up, like media blasting the manifolds and a clear coat? Or is a straight soak in parts cleaner all that is necessary. Also, any performance suggestions for cleaning up the stock manifold, etc?
The images are numbered sequentially, so if you have any comments, please reference that number if you can. That way I won't be chasing my tail.
I'm about 8 months out on rebuild and am trying to get as much together as possible. Any input is appreciated and thanks in advance for your help.

Re: EFI Parts: Just bought, need ID

I am currently installing a 1990 5.0 in my 68. Here are links I have found useful. After trying to read over all the wiring diagrams and straighten out the 1990 wiring harnesses while dealing with an 8 and 3 year old climbing all over everything, I set my pride to the side and purchased a pre made wiring harness, and ful system for this conversion. I got it in 3 days and hopefully installing some of it this coming weekend. I decided to go ahead and pay the money to get the job done quicker. I am new to all of this and have learned a lot. You can shop around and probably get better prices, I had some extra cash (tax time) so I spent it. The links are below.

This link will tell you pretty much everything you need to know or direct you in the right direction.
EFI 5.0 install

I purchased the following kits:
efi wiring harness RJM Injection Tech Will work on this weekend
complete fuel kit http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort will work on this weekend

T5 Transmission swap kit and clutch cable conversion kit: Ron Morris Performance: Transmission Parts

See links at left for transmission specific parts- AOD, T5, Tremec Both kits Installed very easily

An '88 system would be Speed Density UNLESS it was on a California spec car which would have MAF. Also I don't see the MAS among the pictures. Nice 66 BTW. I've done a MAF swap on a '68 Cougar. It isn't that hard. You just keep the EFI loom intact and you really only need to connect at about two places to power the unit up. The biggest pain is running the fuel lines with a return and installing an electric pump and wiring an inertis switch in too.

I didn't see a MAF either. Ford Fuel Injection will have all the information you need. I did the conversion on my comet using a 93 mustang wiring harness, it wasn't that difficult to hook-up, but make sure if your converting the top half your a 289 that you use the correct distributor gear for the cam.

It's in the third post. For some reason the address wouldn't translate in the first two. Or:
