Re: Paint or undercoating??

What I did with one of my Mustangs was to use an Epoxy primer...just to seal it up nice, and then I did some undercoating over top to make a good protection barrier...might have been overkill, but I wanted the peace of mind.

A friend of mine has the idea to use the Rhino lining to undercoat his car...says if it's tough enough to protect the bed of his truck which is hit with some rough conditions...most of which is wet, should do a bang up job on an undercarriage.

Don't know it any of that helps...good luck!

Mike

Re: Paint or undercoating??

I gutted the interior on my last two mustangs, pulled out the sound proofing material and wire brushed the entire floor pan area. Put POR15 on and once that dried rhino coated the entire area including the transmission hump. Underneath cleaned off all of the loose factory undercoating and went with the professional grade spray coating underlining. Turned out nice.
