4 1/2 Leaf Springs Question

I have a set of old 4 leaf springs from a 69 mach 1 on the rear of my 64.5 Mustang now, and it sits lower in the rear then the front with stock springs in the front. I would like the rear of my car to be slightly higher then the front by about an 1" to 1 1/2" without lowering the front at all. I've heard the standard eye 4 1/2 leafs will raise the back over stock, even though they list them as stock height. Anybody on here have experience with these springs, and how did the car sit after you put them on and after they settled down after being on the car for awhile.
Also, anybody run the 1 1/2" lift spring they list on the Laurel Mountain Mustang webpage, and how did they sit?
Thanks in advance!

Re: 4 1/2 Leaf Springs Question

I have the 4 1/2 mid eye springs on my 64 1/2 with 15X7 magnum 500's and 225X60RX15 tires. The rear wheel well opening is approx 1/2 inch above the tire. I have Boss 302 springs up front with one coil removed and KYB gas shocks all around. The car is slghtly lower in front than the rear. With just myself in the car the 4 1/2 leaf springs are too stiff. On a concrete road it is a choppy ride. With three people in the car it is a great ride. For me the 4 leafs would have been a better choice.
