rear glass for a 72

im thinking of getting a 72 stang but i need to get the rear glass how much is a good price for 1? last monday we has a big wind storm and a tree fell over thank got there was a chevy there or there would have been more damage

In the pic, that is definately a coupe, Grande would also use the same rear window. I can't really say a "good" price for the glass, but it shouldn't be too much...coupes were/are still more plentiful than the other models.

Check some Mustang salvage yards, they should have some available...just make sure it isn't scratched up. If I remember correctly (and I really don't know if I am remembering correctly) the same year Cougar shares the rear window design...might be able to find one cheaply that way, but find out for sure from a glass shop, they should have a cross reference book to confirm, or deny, what I am thinking.

Worst case scenario, watch Ebay, or check out the local papers for a parts car up for sale, 71 thru 73 coupes all use the same rear window.

Now in the pic, looks like the front windshield also took a hit, so maybe you can get a good deal on a front and rear set from a slavage yard...and that roof line at the rear window caught some good damage and is seriouly bent down...if the window broke due to that, there is some serious straightening in order so that a replacement will go back in. While it is all out, check around the window for rust areas, I've had a few 71-72 coupes and that area seems prone to rust.

t.y. it just so happens there is a 73 couger at the junk yard i work at. i took a few pics of it to see if they where simaler. i was thinking it might work
