(Admittedly this is all irrelevant, since the 1973 Mexican Mustang Sprint design in question was a Ford of Mexico product, with no Shelby de Mexico, S.A. involvement. )

Oooops, my bad!

I found the article while trying to search out some info for the original poster of this thread...and when I found it, I didn't actually stop and think about the fact that it is a Sprint, not a Shelby (or in this case, Shelby de Mexico).

Apologies for my error...the "Grrr " makes me think this may be a sore spot for you per chance?

Seriously, I do appreciate the correction...I do hate to give wrong info, especially when I am trying to help others out.

Mike

Re: 1973 Sprint/Mach 1 Mexican

FYI for what it's worth the door panels on the Mach 1 Sprint are from a 70 cougar with the decor interior except for the funky little add on thing at the top that is similar to the top door trim of a 69/70 standard interior mustang but made to fit the 70 cougar panels to the 71-73 mustang doors.

Try the local Mexican embassy, they might have a line on something you might be able to use.
