Cobra-jet valves

Back when, I used to have a valve booklet published by some secondary cylinder head valve producer. In a few instances, it when back into the 1950's and 1960's with certain data and sizes.

But main thing it mentioned in the older booklet was that the 1963 era 406 had same exhaust valve dimensions as the Cobra-Jet 428 did. Mainly bigger head. For a got a big bucket of 406 valves and modern era books no longer go back as far as then.

Other than metalurgy, were these valves interchangeable?

Re: Cobra-jet valves

Not sure...

You can toss 'em if they're the sodium filled valves though....

Re: Cobra-jet valves

This is from one of those 400 page generic (newspaper print quality) catalugues. Does make mention that Sodium cooled valves "used" to be available, I got some via Ford way back when, But... these are not. They are standard valves of 406 design, and are same dimensionally in later catalogue which lists Cobra-jet engines. Warning there too about sodium valves.
