Some advice..?

Looking for a bit of guidance.
Just finished building a 352 stroker. Forged everything. Comp Cam (nitrous/blower ground). AFR 185s, Air gap intake and 600cfm edelbrock.

I have a 8.8 rear (yes i know, but it's light), and 3.08 gears. 215/50/15 tires.

Traction bars and subframe connectors. 5 speed with a RAM Clutch 3 finger 900lb springs i believe.

What is my next move? I kind of want to save and do a 4 link, but then I also want to throw some nitrous on it, but then I want to do a supercharger/turbo.
I was really thinking for right now. new gears (3.55s) and some ET streets on a extra set of rims.

Thanks for the help guys!

----------
Std 302 for now. I am setting aside money for a DART block that I have on hold from a friend who works for a restoration shop. Really good deal. But I do not forsee me needing it yet.

Yes I know the 600 seems small. But I was told and agree with that it will work well until I decide to go blow through, etc.

The RPM range is tough. idle-6000?

It's a street car basically, but I certainly do not mind good all around manners. Ok, more track than street. Street/strip lets say.

The motor is quite strong I must say. Forged crank, forged H beam rods, forged Mahle pistons.

Here's the specs for the cam.

Compression comes out to 9.0-9.1: 1
AFR 185s
1.6 RR

Anything else needed let me know!

Re: Some advice..?

From reading your post, you know what needs to come next! 3.73 gears, and a locker if you don't already have both tires working for you. Going to an electric fan is a pretty easy upgrade that will free up another 20 HP. And that 600 cfm has got to go, and soon!

Re: Some advice..?

Sounds like a pretty sweet set up. I would definately go with the gear swap. Makes a hell of a difference. Do you plan on taking it down the track. Update with some times and some pics

Re: Some advice..?

yea. gear swap is next.
ordering them today.
Going to start putting money away for a custom carb (or a nice off the shelf blow through).

3.73s?

At least 3.73, why would you build a performance motor and not give it some gears? Are you going to be doing a bunch of interstate driving with this car? As far as the carb goes, a Quick Fuel Technology 750 Q series would do you a really nice job! Outstanding quality carburetors

Re: Some advice..?

Well yes and no.

I like doing freeway rolls (empty mexican roads of course), so I don't want to kill my ears.
I think 3.73s sound good.
Good street and not that bad highway.

Re: Some advice..?

3.73 are a good mid range gear, IMHO, not too high, not to low. With 3.73's you'll probably be around 3500 RPM's at 70 mph. You never did say whether you have a locker in your rear end????

Re: Some advice..?

If you have a 5 speed with a .68 overdrive like me I would go with at leased 3.73's. If I were gearing my car again i would go with 4.11's. Dont bother with the 4 link unless you turn it into a race car. Ive seen 10 second cars launching on leaf springs. Also a 750 double pumper holley will get you lots of power. the 600 edelbrock is killing your power.

Yep, I agree. That's a lot of money invested in a darn good set of heads to have an Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor.
