If you have staggered rear shocks, then look to Mac's Products, they have a system that clears the driver's side shock. If not, then you could use whatever is available for 65-up Mustang. The Flowmaster kit is very nice and complete, but I hate the sound and annoying resonance of their mufflers. The Summit and Jeg's kits are a good deal if you want to low-buck it. The mufflers are crap, but you can always swap them out.

I quite like the flowmasters as well, but you're right, their mufflers' sound leaves a lot to be desired... Someone told me about "pypes" exhausts, but i've never heard anything about them before. Are they any good?
Thanks!

I went to a local muffler shop and had a custom 2.5" system installed with an x-pipe for a little over $400 a couple of years ago. When I got the car it had the Flowmaster 40's on it and I didn't care for the sound at all. On the new system I went with Dynomax mufflers and are very happy with them.

I suppose you have Ultra Flo? How do you like it? What does it sound like? Cause i'm looking for something that would sound closer to the original, maybe a bit louder.
Thanks!

I have a 71 Mach 351C 4V, with "Dougs" ceramic coated headers and "Pypes" mufflers and aluminized exhaust pipes. I would recommend either of these to anyone! If you want, I can post a short video with a sound bite? The "Pypes" mufflers are the "Street Pro's" and their "X" pipe is awesome. Their kit fit right up with no issues, and you can check them out on their web site. I believe it is Pypes Performance Exhaust - Home Page. As for the "Dougs" headers, they are simply "AWESOME"!!!!!! The fit was absolutely incredible!!! I bought them at Jeggs for about $560.00 and the fit was incredible.

Hello there! I am new here and don't know how to put in a question, but here goes: I have bought a 1973 Cobra 351 4v, with Ford approved Cobra marks, but cannot find out about it. As far as the books tells me they did not make ANY Mustang Cobra in 1973. The first owner though, he worked as an engineer at Fords Dearborn, Mich. Could that be a clou? Or do I have a "one-of-a-kind"? Runlov
