What to do about belts

So I'm putting a 302 (306) into my '65, and I was wondering what I should do about the belts. I don't think I can keep the V belts, since the crank uses the 4 bolt pulley (50oz balancer). Can I use the pulleys and stuff off of a stock 302? All I have to turn are the water pump and alternator. I was thinking of using one of the alternator brackets from March, and just using stock serpentine pulleys.

Is this the part I need?
March Performance 30351 - March Performance Alternator Brackets - summitracing.com
It says V-belt drive, does anyone know what makes it different?

Then there's this one
March Performance 30025 - March Performance Ultra Series Billet Aluminum Alternator Brackets - summitracing.com
But to me it looks like the alternator would be too high, and a belt wrapping around the alt, water and crank pulleys wouldn't put enough tension on the water pulley..

I don't want to spend $400+ for the entire kit. What should I do? I was thinking of doing the 3G alt upgrade, but keeping the stock passenger side lower hose outlet and radiator, if that's even possible..

Re: What to do about belts

Basically I want the belt to route like this

That's the pic of kit #30170. I don't know if they sell just that alternator bracket and adjusting rod, but that's all I need as far as I know (stock pulleys are much cheaper than what the kit costs, $413)

Re: What to do about belts

I too purchased a March system.

Great system, very well made and good looking.

Everything fit and instructions were easy to understand. Well worth the money.

Mustangs plus sells a balancer with the 50 oz balance taht still uses the belts. I use one on my 67 mustang with a latemodel 302.

I don't want the V belts though...I want serpentine, but without spending $400 on it. I emailed March asking about buying just the alt bracket and tensioner, haven't gotten a response back yet.
