Anyway to track down an original owner?
I'm pretty sure I'm at least the 3rd, maybe 4th owner of my '68. Obviously I know who I bought the car from, but that guy didn't know the name of the person he bought the car from. Is there anyway find out who the original owner of the car is? I'm in CA if that helps. I know the CA DMV isn't all that helpful when it comes to questions.

Call your states DMV headquaters in Sacramento, and they should send you a form to fill/out for the requested info. you want.
