Leaf springs which ones?

I have a 66 coupe and I was going to buy the mustangs plus kit with the 620 springs up front. I just don't know what to do about the rear. I would like to have the car sit level. I originally thought I would use 4 leaf mid eye but now am thinking about 4.5 mid eye. I am going to put 17x8 wheels if that matters. This is not a drag car just an occasional driver.

Re: Leaf springs which ones?

the 620's a 1" drop spring?

Problem is the car probably sags now in the rear. so the 1" drop fronts will even it out almost so i would stick with what you have now. the more leafs the stiffer the car will ride in fact 620s up front for a cruiser might be a little stiff for you. you might want like 540s or lower.

Re: Leaf springs which ones?

I have a 66 coupe with 620s up front along with the UCA drop and 4.5" mid eyes in back. I think it sits perfect. I am also running 17x8s all the way around. I think it also rides great. the only other think i want is a good 1" sway bar.

That sounds like the same setup I will be going with. What size tires and did you have any problems with rubbing?
