Does anyone know of a good fitting street type header for these cars with the 302? I bought a set of headmans but the right side has the front tube drop straight down and go under the crossmember. I did see Hooker had a set but they looked like a race only with no collector hook up. They also sell for more than I paid for the car!

Hi

I have a 78 Mustang II v6 swapping a 79 302 and I got a set of Headmens...was told they will bolt up and fit nice and sound nice....headers are hard to find but if you keep your eye out on ebay some pop up here and there...I also got a set of headers for my 2.8 but have not yet put them on...good luck

Hooker has never stopped making Super Comps for the Mustang II. They are the best fitting header you can buy.
