T-5 in a 78

What does it take to install a t-5 in a 78 King Cobra. I have the factory bellhousing and want to keep it. I know that the bearing retainer needs to be milled about .03. Is the bolt pattern for the transmission the same as the rad 4 speed. I also know that the cross menber needs to be redone a little bit. Thanks Kurt

The Factory 5.0 mustang T-5 bell housings use a cable linkage just like the II's and I would guess it would be an easy swap. Cross member shouldn't be an issue.
