I have read the 400 Horsepower 302 Buildup article on this site and it is informative to a point. Anyways, I will just start off with my questions.
1. Why do the builders put the bead of silicone sealer on the block and is it necessary?
2. Is it necessary to put moly on the crank bearings or will plain oil work, also is it ok to oil the whole bearing, crank and block side?
3. Do all of the ARP main stud kits offer the one bolt with the threading ontop to attach the stock oil pickup tube?
4. Now a cam question... F303 or Ford 5.0 Xtreme Energy EFI XE270HR Cam

or is that too much lift with 1.6 rockers??
Thanks in advance...this is a great learning project...and I now have two 89 gts...one stock daily driver...and the other with the engine pulled, machined, and balanced.
