mass air flow sensor?

i just bought an '88 gt and it has no mass air flow sensor. i was just wonder why every other '87-'93 mustang i've seen has one but mine doesn't?? shouldnt this effect how it runs??

mass air flow sensor?

Speed Density preceeded mass air. All the 86 -- 88 except CA '88s had speed density FI, check it out at Ford Fuel Injection.com. I believe there are articles here in the tech section on mass air vs. speed density.
