T5 swap

Hello everybody, new to this forum. I'm swapping out the AOD in the 93 GT for the T5. The later T5's have a small wire harness on the top driver side of the trans, believe it's the neutral? Anyway the early T5's don't have this, can I use this trans without this feature?

Those years should have a small outlet for the safety switch and reverse lights.

There is a whole article on it in the Ford Muscle Tech page, where all of the wires are where they connect to. Very well done, check it out.
