93 5.0 starter bolts

Hello everyone, I need help. the top starter bolt on the 93 5.0. I know it's a 13 mm. I've tried a 13mm 12 pt 3/8 drive but it just keeps slipping off, can't get a good bite on it with the long extension. Would a 1/4 drive socket fit better? All of these bolts seem to be really torqued on good. ANY HELP would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

Use a 6 point socket, a 1/4" drive socket will just get broken off.
