can a 95 mustang computer be reprogramed ?

i have a 95 mustang gt. the stock 5200 rev limiter is getting old i was also told from a friend that it also retards the timing at full throttle on those years of mustang. is there a way to fix this .a chip of some sort.thanks for any info.

can a 95 mustang computer be reprogramed ?

Stock rev limiter is 6000. Yes a chip can eliminate it, but it won't make your car any faster unless you've upgraded the H/I/TB/G's.
