Which shifter

I'm looking at either the BBK or Hurst for the T5. Pros, cons, which one is better?

Haven't run either....But the MGW I had in my '03 Mach 1 was excellent.
Super high quality, very short & solid shifts. Lots of guys were throwing their Pro 5.0 & Tri Ax shifters under the bus to get the MGW.

MGW shifter.

I've got B&M Rippers on both of my cars and they work great. I've had a Pro 5.0 and due to my height(6'-5" ) I had to lean forward to get 3rd and 5th so I **** canned it.

I also had a Pro 5.0. I didn't like the feel, and I'm also 6'5" and had to lean forward to hit 3rd. It was in my SVO which is thankfully gone.

I also had a pro ripper in my '84 GT. Loved it, but the bolts never stayed tight even with loctite. Sold the car with the shifter still in it. Next one, I am going to try the MGW.

i've got the hurst. i hated the shift arm on it so i got the steeda tri-ax arm, now its perfect. like this guy up here said,i had to lean forward for 3rd. the steeda arm puts the shifter right in my hand.

Ended up getting the Hurst with chrome lever and T handle. Has a nice narrow gate but arm seems a tad tall. I tried putting my stock arm on and seems a tad heavy to shift... still experimenting.

Kind of defeats the purpose of having a short-throw shifter, IMHO.

Had a Pro Ripper in the '84 GT..loved it but the screws always came loose. I miss bangin' gears in that thing. I don't miss replacing the spiders every weekend in the POS 7.5" rear.
