4cyl to v-8 conversion

I'm looking for advice and direction on swapping v-8 into 87-90 model coupe. Car will basically be a toy with some street use. Initial thoughts are 351 windsor and c-4.

I'm doing one now.

This should provide an idea of what's involved:

4cyl to v-8 conversion

Appreciate the web site. I've been out of mustangs for some time, early 70's to late 80's I owned 14 mustangs. Now I have a 16 yr old that I've introduced to mustangs, and just got him into a 94 GT. car has CERVINI Cowl hood, Mac pulleys, BBK catless x-pipe, and Magna-flow Magnapack cat-back. car has fresh paint. The car is nice dependable transportation, but guess what???? he wants to go faster!!!! that why i'm seaching for info on change over as I found 89 4cyl coupe for $500 and i figure if we have 2nd mustang for toy if it breaks sons not out of transportation.

4cyl to v-8 conversion

I'VE FOUND A 351 WINDSOR WITH SMALLBLOCK C-6 ATTACHED. WILL C-6 WORK IN FOX BODY OR WILL I BE BETTER OFF USING A C-4?

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE FROM EVERYBODY!!!!

I bought a video from a guy in TX who built a blow-thru-carb 9 sec LX. He put a C6 behind it that was built and had a trans brake. Don't remember what stall the converter was, but I seem to remember it was high to get revs up. Just take a 8 lb hammer to the floor.

look for some pointers here.
