Timing Gear/Chain

I am building a 331 stroker right now and I purchased a new Rollmaster Timing Gear /Chain combo. While I was trying to install it the small gear would not fit onto the crankshaft (Scat 9000) nor would it fit the stock crankshaft. I measured both crankshaft diamenters at identical values. (I think it was 1.376 inches, if memory serves me correctly) Anyone ever had that same problem?

What is the inside diameter of the gear?

Timing Gear/Chain

Purchased a Summit Billet Timing Gear/Chain setup and it fit perfectly. That tells me the Rollmaster Unit has a QA problem.

Timing Gear/Chain

Rollmaster is made in Australia, supposed to be a good unit. I even talked to the owner/manufacturer. He says his timing chains/gears are the very best. All I know is that it would not fit my 302.
