No spark

I have a 84 mustang 5.0 just bought it from a friend he said it won't start.I went over to his house and started the car. then the next day I had to have it towed to my house now I check and No spark? I changed TFI module still no spark?what is the procedure? I have never owned a computer car and I'm 58 don't know where to start.LOL..Thanks

No spark

You may need a stator that is in the distributor. The distributor has to come out and the gear has to be pressed off. These go bad as much as TFIs do.

Also the start switch in the steering column will go bad even more often than the TFI. The switch itself is not expensive but take some time to replace since you have to pull the steering wheel. Good luck.

No spark

sorry didn't get back to the computer for awhile still have no spark yet all I have checked according to the manual for no spark is the COIL and the manual states it should be 0.4-1.0 ohms resistance on primary test and secondary test should be 8,500-11,000 mine was bad on the secondary test so I bought new one and tested both they had at nappa and the secondary showed 7.85 set on the 200K range and at the 20 k it showed 7.9 ??? what gives are the coils from Nappa any good I tried it on 2 different meters and got the same.
