About bying a 5.0 GT-91

Hello !
What sholud I look out for when bying a stang -91 GT.
Is there any traps? I´ve had one -88 GT 5.0 before and the idle speed on that one was quite bad.

I know the -91 model has the Maf Air Fow sensor

The guy also has a 3.73 rear gear(richmond he says).
Is that gearing going to give me a noticable performance or not?

IMO, 3.73s are the BEST gear for street driven Mustangs...especially with a 5 speed.

As far as what to look for, a test drive will let you know real fast if there are any issues. Good thing about these cars, they are super cheap to repair and very plentiful in junkyards if you need a JY part.

Check for cracks in the a-pillars. Tall-tale sign the car was beat to hell.

Check the rear torque boxes for torn/split metal. This is usually a telltale sign of slicks triing to rip the control arms out.
