Re: 4cyl springs??

I have about 2 miles on her now (Im waiting for the front end alignment on Wednesday for a longer trip) and I see no I'll effects from having the 4 banger springs in the back or front. From what I have heard they (rears) are better for weight transfer due to being softer. Honestly, It seems to ride pretty damn good!

The front end is being aligned as I type this. I also went to the local pick and pull and got a V8 brake booster. I left the master cylinder and lines on it to make life a little easier when it comes time to install. My master (currently in the car) seems shot, So I said screw the 4cylinder booster and I'm knocking out two birds with one stone. So if all goes my way today I will take her on a long run and see how she goes and report back as soon as I can.

Re: 4cyl springs??

hey im thinking to install a rear 4 cyl springstoo, i have a v8 convertible, are the same springs in the 4 cylinder convertibles and 4 cyl coupe and hatch back? im asking because i know the V-8 (coupe and HB) and the v-8 convertible use diferent springs, so can i install any 4 cyl spring or i need to look at 4 cylinder convertible springs for my stang? also if i just install that 4 cyl springs in the rear im going to have the car to raise in the front?

not sure about the fitment of the springs between convert and coupe i would think they are the same.. but as far as the front you would prob have to lower if you dont use the springs in front aswell.. the 4cyl spring will lower car a little bit cause there softer than v8 springs...
(correct me if im wrong)

The fronts lowers her down a bit. But I do not see much of a change out back from when there was'nt an engine in it.

I have a bunch of interior pieces not buttoned up yet do to the dredded heater core and pass. side exterior door handle. So my car is doing that "Shake, Rattle and roll!"

Re: 4cyl springs??

Ok, I installed the V8 booster and the master cylinder. Both known to be good which they are.

Wheels are aligned (needed one tie rod end, GO FIGURE! Which led to my bill being ridiculously high) and took her for a couple of runs. It felt a bit squirrelly. Im feeling that it may have to do with the wheel/tire combo I currently have. So I will be getting some lug nuts to install the set of Pony's I have to see exactly if its the wheels/tires currently on the car.

I'll tell you what though, You hear every bump out back with full poly bushings!! LOL!
