Will an 8.8" rear bolt up to 1995 Mustang LX rear mounts?

If I bought a 1994-1995 V6 Mustang for a project, would an 8.8" be a simple swap, or would I have to weld on new mounts?

I believe it's a simple swap. Tons of people do it. I wish I'd done that instead of putting gears and t-lock in my stock 7.5". Just to double check, stop by v6mustang.com and ask them. It's a friendly site with good guys.

Any specific plans?

If you need anything, let me know. I know a little and can direct you to places with good v6 parts.

Well, I've built a stroked Windsor with anticipation of putting it in a '94-'95 Mustang. That's my favorite body style and since those cars came with 302's/351's, then I thought it would be an easy swap as well.

I'm wondering what I can get away with in my search. If I could find a 6-cylinder car for good money, then I was trying to see what my options were. If it takes a bunch of hacking and welding to make the control arm mounts work, then I probably wouldn't fool with a V6 car. If it's a simple swap, then that gives me more options to play with.

Well I sure think it will. We have a guy who put a cobra engine in his v6. He might be able to help you out down the road if you ever need it. Sounds like you have a good plan. I'll double check on the rear end and if I'm wrong I'll PM you. You can sure pick up v6's of that age cheap!
