hydraulic cam on efi 302

hi i was wondering if i could run an hydraulic cam on a fuel injected 302 im tryin to stay on a budget build
would it work if i changed the distributor gear?
would i have to run speed density or mass air?
any help is appreciated i know u guys wont let me down

Whoah..... Could you be any more vague?
If and it's a big if that I understand what you are asking..... You do not want to retrofit a standard hydraulic cam into a roller cam motor. Can it be done? Yes.... Why not do it then? 1)Because it's old tech. and will not make the power you're looking for, 2)It'll take the difference in money to buy the different length pushrods. There may be more issues that i don't know of since I'd never revert back from roller cams. My advice: save up the money, wait patiently for a good used cam deal (since they do not wear anywhere near as fast as a non- roller), and or spend the money where you'll really see big improvements (aluminum heads) IMHO.....

I'm in total agrement here.

Just use a stock 5.0 HO roller cam...especially if you're using EFI.

Yeah thanks guys appreciate the help i decided that ill wait and buy a used cam with some aftermarket heads.

if you need a stock 5.0 efi cam, i have a few of them if you need one.
