Questions regarding AODE to T-5 swap

I am going to perform an AODE to T-5 swap this spring in my 95gt convert. I have read most posts regarding this but have a couple of specific questions I hope you can help me out with.

1) Is the clutch pedal assembly the same from 94-98 or even to 2004 or is it another 94-95 specific item? I read one place where they should all interchange. It makes sense to me as they are all the same SN-95 platform, however I don't want to buy something and then find out it won't work half way into the project. I called AMP in AZ and they wanted like $300 for the assembly! I just saw one on ebay that went for $90. (By the way I have the T-5, bellhousing, flywheel, PP, clutch and flywheel from a 95 gt).

2) I read one article, (Dumping the slush box) and he talked about swapping the map sensor. His was the only article I saw that talked anything about this at all. Anyone care to comment on this?

3) I would appreciate any comments regarding swapping the EEC. I have a non-R/T Tweecer that I bought off ebay specifically to improve the shift points (which it did improve significantly). I thought I would go the cheap way and at least try use the existing auto EEC and try tweecing it. Are the EEC's really that different other than shifting points? Any comments on what to turn on or off would be appreciated. Would like any pros or cons regarding swapping though.

4) If I do keep the auto EEC would I keep the auto wiring harness? What happens if I don't change them?

By the way the car is stock for the most part. It won't be raced but I just want to enjoy driving it. Thanks for your help.

Re: Questions regarding AODE to T-5 swap

hey i did a swap in my 95 gt, im not too sure on the pedals, i got my pedals from a 94gt, but i did get a 5 speed computer and harness, i did alot of checking before doing my swap and did not want to deal with computer issues, i heard it can act very funny when you shift. so i went with a harness and computer from ebay.

i dont know why you would have to mess with the map sensor? i didnt and have not had one problem other than buying tires more often.

if you really want to enjoy it i would suggest going for a 5 speed harness and computer, it will make the install a whole lot easier, also before you do the swap i would suggest swaping out the pedals before hand, it takes about 2 hours and is pretty easy.

if you got any questions email me at punksab2000@yahoo.com and i will help anyway i can. i did my swap in about 10 hours.
