Which electric fan conversion?

In an 1986 Mustang, which electric fan mfg do you guys find works the best?

I had a flexilite pump mounted fan that cooled the engine perfectly but it destroyed the radiator shroud on my sons first pass two weeks ago.
I would like to free up the additional HP also by converting to a electric
fan. I would also like to be able to wire it so I could turn it on while the motor is not running.

Thanks

Re: Which electric fan conversion?

I have this fan below from Flex a lite brand new in the box for 220 shipped

Flex-a-lite Black Magic X-treme Electric Puller Fans - JEGS

I also have a spare shroud that excepts two 12 inch proform fans that I could sell you cheaper but I only have one fan on there so you would have to purchase another.

Proform 67012 - Proform Universal Electric Fans - JEGS

email me if your interested, jiterfish1@aim.com

Re: Which electric fan conversion?

I used an electric fan from a 3.8 V-6 taurus and it works fine with my engine.
FM did an tech article about doing it a few years back.
Here it is: http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2003/02/electricfan/

Thats what I was looking for, I will try to find the old article here.

Notched306,
I can't wait until E85 becomes available in my area. There are many naysayers here. Did you know corn used as fuel will cause world wide famine and we will all starve to death? It is the devils work you know.
