Engine mounts For a 400 in a Fox mustang

I have a stroked and bored 421ci 400 that I would like to install in place of the 351 C 4v in the car now. Every thing elce is is worked out but I was woundering ,Is there a mount that will work or do I have to fab one . My block has Both bosses for the 302 mounts on one side but the other side only has one boss.

Unless the 400 block is an FMX block (rare) you would just use 460 conversion mounts for the FOX chassis.

KULTULZ. Thanks for information I was not aware that 460 and 400 had the same mounts , that will save me alot of hassel.

Pacefever79! Sorry but the engine is not for sale It is a 1971 boss engine that I have had since 1973 so I am kind of attached to it . It is going into my 78 cobra II for a street machine. i have the engine mount plate and the headers just need the time .

Both engine series have the same mounting pad pattern on the block. They also have the same bell housing mounting pattern. Check with one of the conversion mount companies and they should be able to help you.

In fact, reply here with what you find if possible so it will go into archives hopefully.

Now that I know that the engine mounts are the same as the 460 . I will be using the Ford Racing Performance parts mounts PN -M-6038-A460 ,Hedman Cleveland headers , C4 tranny From a 1975 LTD 351 M engine.
