Tremec 3550 Swap??

Hi,

I am looking at getting a Tremec 3550 for my 93 GT.

Will it bolt right in, or do I have to move the trans mount?

Thanks,

Tom

the only thing you will need is the tremec bell housing.everything else is the same as stock

Re: Tremec 3550 Swap??

Super easy with 3550. Get a bell (I used a lakewood) bolt in. You will need to take your stock cross member, grind the tack welds out on the 2 circles that mount to your car. You can then slide the mouning part of the cross member back about and inch to accomidate your Tremec.

I love my 3550. I know its not as strong as the new TKOs but I launch my Mustang at 6000 on slicks and never miss a beat!

I also just put one in my 390 stroker Galaxie!

If you need any help past that, give me a call. 412-216-6140
