Big Block Ford in a SN95??

Hi, I was wondering if anybody here has put a big block ford into a SN94 (1994-1995) mustang. If so what modifications were required to make the engine fit. I know a cowl hood and motor plates would be required. Thanks.

You can do it with out a motor plate ford sells a pair of engine mounts and canton sells a OIl pan that will make the swap a snap . Two things that you will need are a bigger rad and headers there was a swap kit avalable but I don't remember who supplyed it . One of the guys at our local track installed a 496 inch big block into his 93 fox, now that car runs mid 10.s

I knew you can put a big block in a fox body, but was wondering if it was any different putting it in a SN95 body style. Are the fox and SN95 platforms that similar?

The 94 -95 are the same other than the 94-95 engine is moved ahead 5/8 of an inch .To install the 460 you may want to move the engine back . You would have to remanufacture a cross member to run a C-6 or find a 351 M C4 Bell and tranny that will that will bolt right in .
