My 94 Mustang GT is burning OIL

I just bought this 94Gt about a week ago; the kid put in a new cam, and replaced the manifold gaskets and all the throttle body gaskets. He said it did not start burning oil until he put in the new cam.

The car has no pick, and blows white smoke that comes out of the exhaust, but does not smell like antifreeze. (Smells like burning oil, and it burns a lot of oil)
It has Shorty BBK headers on it, and it looks like he lengthened the oil dipstick. I never know if it has the right amount of oil in it. (Whether there is too much oil or too little (the low oil light came on and I added 2 QTs of oil, am I supposed to only put in 1Qt or what)
NEED TO KNOW: if it is head problems, or do the gaskets need replaced, or anything else.

Sounds like intake gaskets are wrong or slipped and are sucking oil from the valley.

could be valve seals if it smokes all the time.or head gaskets.but if smokes only when u get on it then its the rings.check all fluids after running it.

I'm with bic, I would imagine that poorly placed intake gaskets would greatly attribute to this phenomenonenomenmonnnn

Pull the plugs and see if they are ALL black or just a few of them, that will lend creedence as well...

Re: My 94 Mustang GT is burning OIL

The plugs looked like they were full of oil(oil deposits), when we did it. they were black and This kid I bought the car off of put too much oil in the car to begin with b/c he put bbk shorty headers on it, and he screwed with the size of the dip stick, and the thing the dipstick goes in... so i changed the oil and drove it for 2hrs to Cleveland Ohio, and back to Westerville, Ohio(4 hours total),the low oil ligiht came on in my mustang and i had to add a qt of oil to it... so i do not know how fast it is burning, but I think i had about 6+ hours of continuous driving...
I am planning on changing the intake manifold gaskets, but i have never really done anything this big before.(so waiting for my friend to help me) I was told an amateur would take roughly 6-hours to do this
