Exclamation need help, quick answer please!!!!

1995 GT Mustang, 302, power steering pump. How do you get the pulley off??? Do I need to take the allen head bolt out first or is the the shaft???? I need a quick answer!

You need a P/S pulley puller...... it's press fitted.

Make sure you get the right puller.The one that I had to buy at NAPA had a collar that went around part of the pulley on my 1966 mustang. The one that I used for the 66 was made for a GM product. I think it cost me around $40.00.

Also you need installer or bolt and nut to install. Do NOT pound it on.

That Allen head bolt is NOT an allen head bolt. It's just an allen CUT in the shaft. There are threads inside it that you utilize to install the pulley once removed by the puller above.

It is NOT an easy off situation. You will work and it comes off difficutly. But it will come off.
