oil Guage 1995 gt not working

Well, I looked at a used 95 GT and the only thing that came up on inspection is the oil gauge is not functioning . Now this would be a good indication of the condition of the 302. Engine purrs as it idles and runs, but is this a repair that is as simple as changing the sending unit or I may need to tear the dash apart. Is there a fuse that one can change

The problem could be as simple as changing a fuse ,a sending unit or a broken wire . It could also be a electrical problem in the insterment cluster this could get expensive . Make sure the guage is working before you buy the car .
