Question manifold and vavle cover clearance question

Ok my first question, I am running gt40x heads on 1995 mustang gt with a 302. If I put rollor rockers on them on a screw in stud, will have a have issues with the stock vavle covers hitting them? If I do and have to go to longer vavle covers will they interfear with the Tirck Flow intake I am putting on it. Does anyone know if the intake will hit the shock tower brace?

Re: manifold and vavle cover clearance question

yes the intake will hit the shock tower brace but the 79 -93 mustang is a week er body than the sn95 and they never had a shock tower brace . you will have to use a manifold spacer between the top and bottom to clear the tall valve covers . Ford does sell a shock tower brace that will clear the manifold , it is the one they used on the 94- 95 mustang cobra .

So I could leave the brace off and it will be ok? Also, how tall does the spacer need to be? 3/8" or 1"??? Any hood clearance issues? If I didn't put the spacer on and left the stock valve covers on, would I still hit the valve covers and shock tower brace?

You can not use the roller rockers and stock valve couvers they are not tall enough . you can run with out the shock tower brace the 79 -93 dont have them .The intake top won't hit the stock couver but the tall valve covers are 1" taller.
