81 5 lug conversion problems.

Well i have a 1981 4.2L v82bbl . Its has a 85 302, auto, 3.73 cobra rear end. My problem is i have 15in 96 pony rims to fit all the way around. So i grabbed 85 2wd ranger front rotors and they fit on the spindle, but hit where the bolt hole is on the caliper bracket. Will 82-87 spindles and calipers work with these rotors and fit the 81 suspension or what do i need ???

The 79 to 81 mustang came with a 9" rotor so the caliper is to close to the spindle for the 10" 5 lug rotor to fit .You need the spindle off a 1982 to 93 4 cylinder car or the spindle off a 82-86 V8 car the 87and later cars had a 11" brake and the spindle is not the same .

I used 80 Cougar V8 spindles and rotors etc. Fairmont ,T bird, Cougar are all Fox Bodies and they will work
