currently have a 306 with a proform 750 carb. i cant seem to get the tune ruight. when you smash the gas at idle it often pops through the carb. and when u are driving and press the gas 1/4 throttle or more it stumbles really bad. i currently have a cheap air/fuel gauge that says its really rich at idle and goes lean when i press the gas. i dont know how accurate these are but i currently have 71, 76 for jets.... 75 primary air bleweds 72 sec, and 36 high speed.

It sounds like the arm going to the accelerator pump is not adjusted correctly. On my carb it needs to be touching at idle, with just a tiny bit of pre-load.
If that is correct, the 750 might just be too big, and the air going through it is going too slow off idle.
But I would bet the cam and lever on the accelerator pump need adjusted tighter.
