The K-member is the same. Bigger radiator, front suspension, rear suspension (i.e differential and springs, shocks ect) brakes just to name a few.

Maybe the transmission crossmember has to be changed. It may also be the same for the V-8. The K-member the engine bolts to is the same for either the 4 cyl or V-8. If you are uncertian about the trans crossmember, just use one out of a 5.0 Mustang.

A 5.0 donor car would be ideal, but since you're going carburetor, you don't need all the electronics, etc. Still, the fuel tank must come down, change the pump, lines, etc., all the exhaust system, and front spindles from a 5.0 car would help braking.
Some guys choose to keep the 4 cyl. springs up front, but the 7.5 rear has to go too. Cant think of much else, but this is a lot easier than going EFI.

EEC Performance Here is a good guide.

Changing a Fox Mustang from a Four Cylinder to a V-8 - 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords Magazine Another guide.

1979 to 1993 Ford Mustang 4 Cylinder v8 Swap Mustang Engine Swap Conversion And here you can buy a guide.

Hope this helps. My 92 is a 4cyl conversion and you would never guess. The 4 bangers are better imo because the chassis hasn't been abused...you can also build it up the way you want it as you go along.
