Crank Noise...%&*$... opinions???

So I just put $1200 into my trans and thought that I had some converter chatter.

The noise is best described as a diesel motor sound. I can only hear the noise at idle and slightly when the rpms increase to maybe 1200, after that I can't hear it.

Upon inspection of the noise it seemed to be coming from the converter...
Well I put a scope on the trans no noise, on the bottom of the oil pan no noise, on the rear of the oil pan where it gurdles the crank and I can hear it.

Oil pressure is 40-50psi cold and 25psi warm 40psi when driving

I put a bar on the balancer and pry it out slightly and then pry it back in and it makes a very slight clunk....

%$#@ Is this BAD NEWS???

Did the outside of the balancer move or the whole crank?

Check your Converter nuts/bolts. Maybe they are loose.
If so, remove your converter nuts and put loc-tite on them and re-install them.
