Something else. Can I assume the ECU has been re-programmed to run properly with the new intake? More info would be helpful.

The MAF sensor does need to be changed, modified or replaced with appropriately cinfigured one that recognizes Injectors have been replaced with larger ones. There computer does not recognize that automatically. By default it assumes they are 19 lb's.You can change TB without modification of the computer, however - the TPS throttle position sensor, may or may not need to be monitored or adjusted. It should be a direct swap, but some people insist that you check it for correct voltage.

Re: manifold swap problem

I would go back and retrace all the work that was done to install the intake. That in-stall should run perfect right out the box. (mine did) You might want to in-stall a adj fuel regular with a gage on the fuel line. (a must when you start modding on a EFI 5.0

Re: manifold swap problem

Put a fuel pressure gauge that you can see while driving and see what happens under a load. The pressure should spike when the throttle is wide open and should hold pretty steady.
