car shaking in low rpm

alright so i have a 86 mustang 5.0 with aod trans and the other day i was driving up a bridge at about 30 mph and my car started to shake like hell! not vibrate but shake and it only does this when it first goes into gear but after it reaches above 2 grand in rpm its fine as if nothing is happening at all im really confused so any input would be greatly appreciated

another thing is i drive it like a grandma lol i dont "hotrod" it or nothing like that but it has had a previous owner

Maybe the converter is trying to lockout at too low of an RPM...

You definitely need to drive it harder...

sounds like what FE said, your converter. Have you ever had any t ransmission issues? or has it been taken out of the car at all? seems like your pump may be broke.

how would i determine which one or are they the "problem" how would i fix the pump

Either start driving it like a 15 year old punk or take it to a tranny specialist....

chit! alright thanks alot for the info i assumed it was the tranny from the time it happend i was trying to tell myself otherwise tho lol maybe the new daily driver will be the falcon?
