Instead of buying a costly exhaust system, I decided to just remove the mufflers on my completely stock 03 gt mustang. What my question is is, does this have any potential for damage whatsoever?

Cool Re: 03 ehaust

Well it may sound loud, but also you probably would be better off going wtih a system about 2.5" and performance mufflers rather than just taking them off. If u have a naturally aspirated engine you don't want to lose too much back pressure.

Plus, the mufflers are also welded on so they need to be cut off. With all that work, might as well get a nich catback or mufflers w/ dumps.

NO! Its a myth that no mufflers will hurt and engine, valves, heads, ect...

If you like the sound then go for it, some cars pick up hp some loose it, some loose a little in the bottom end and gain it back in the upper rpms.
